STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Well-established, highly regarded accounting firm in the Dawsonville area , is looking for an experienced staff accountant. This organization supports several community businesses, especially those in the general service, construction, manufacturing, healthcare and food service industries as well as many others. Minimum of three year experience as a public accountant is required. The services offered are extensive and they are an extension of the clients’ successful bottom line.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a public accountant
• Stable work history
• Strong general ledger and financial statement skills
• Ability to understand the needs of the client and consult with them in a friendly, caring manner
• Preferred if familiar with the following software: CS products, Quickbooks (all versions), Microsoft Office products
• Supervise monthly write-ups
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written, verbal and listening
• Calm, patient, compassionate, caring and personable
• People oriented
• Ethical conduct and high character

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Financial statement preparation
• Preparation of the following tax returns: 1040, 1120, 1120-S, and 1065 (maybe others if necessary)
• Extra hours are expected during tax season
• Able to process payroll

Required experience:
• 3 years in public accounting

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST

Well-established, highly regarded accounting firm in the Dawsonville area, is looking for a full-time experienced, mature and outgoing receptionist with a warm personality and a service heart. Minimum of three years’ experience in a customer service environment is required. Responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting clients, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and basic bookkeeping tasks.

Primary responsibilities
• Answer phones providing information and support to customers
• Answer inquiries about company.
• Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable.
• Schedule meetings.
• Ensure reception area is tidy.
• Errands to post office and bank when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties.
• Assemble tax returns and scan source documents
• Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers as needed.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
• Maintain strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
